The Latest in the Downtown Atmore Revitalization Project

If you’ve recently driven through Atmore’s beloved downtown, you probably couldn’t help but notice the progress being made on the downtown beautification project by First National Bank and Trust. The First National Bank announced the improvements to the property on Main Street on February 20, which is adjacent to the bank’s main office.

According to various press sources, the renovations will enhance the look of downtown and add to the beautification and revitalization of Atmore. In addition to the renovations, landscaping is also being added to bring additional color, plants and flowers to the side of the building. New street lights, sidewalks, and a new park space will also improve the appearance of South Main Street. The finished project is said to be completed by the middle of the summer!

This project is one of many going on downtown, including the renovations to the Strand Theatre and the Old Hardware Store next door. Atmore is going through an incredible changing phase, and locals are already starting to take notice—it’s very exciting!

Recently, Atmore was designated a city by Main Street, which is a huge deal. We believe this title will carry Atmore and help the city to grow.

All of these renovations are bringing new life and vitality to the city we all love, and we’re so excited to see what’s in store for Atmore’s future.
